This Year... 2007

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?




Traveled by Coach to National Park, Caught the Overlander from National Park to Martin, spent the long weeked in Wanganui and Flew in a Plane back to Auckland (I did all the traveling all by myself - I didn't know anyone, and it was a hugh adventure!)











2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?







I didn't have any for 2007. But this year I've decided to make my one and only resolution as:

"Don't bag it until you've tried it"





A few goals for 2008

Get my Full Drivers Licence.
Start the Insurance Certificate.
Go on Abseiling Course
Learn Sign Language
Do more writing – a little each week – at least!
Enter short story competitions
Attempt to write story for Tom Fitzgibbon award
Walk to or from work a few days in the week - if not every day.
Read/research more
Get out more
Have constant savings
Put constant money on credit card.





Prob just to live my life and enjoy it as much as possible...







3. Did anyone close to you give birth?







Lisa - Harrison was born!







4. Did anyone close to you die?







A sweet little cat called "Kitty" :-(






5. What countries did you visit?







Only good old New Zealand...







6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007 ?







A better grip on my finances... Being more active... as in doing more outdoor pursuits...







7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?







The day I broke up with my boyfriend earlier this year and found out that he had cheated on me. It wasn't much of a big surprise, but it was the way that I was told that did the damage. I'm not bitter from it, I have moved on, and I am now friends with him, I am on my way to mending friendships and catching up with people that I haven't seen in ages because of this...







8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?







Getting a employeed by Lumley and getting a Title to go with it!







9. What was your biggest failure?







Letting certain things get to me and dwelling on them, which made them worse then they were.







10. Did you suffer illness or injury?







Nope!!! So, I got what I wanted, a clean bill of health, I.E. NO OPERATIONS







11. What was the best thing you bought?







My Camera and Mp3 Player :-)







12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?







Mike and Megan! Congratts on your engagement guys!







13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?







You know who you are, but you're worse off... pitty for you.







14. Where did most of your money go?







On Flatting and Food exspenses!







15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?







Moving into the city!







16. What song will always remind you of 2007?







Amity Dry - Walking Away.







17. Compared to this time last year, are you:







i. happier or sadder? - Neither, more enlightened...







ii. thinner or fatter? - About the Same...







iii. richer or poorer? - Richer... to a point!







18. What do you wish you'd done more of?







Traveled and Written.







19. What do you wish you'd done less of?







Stressing over events and people that were not worth it.







20. Did you fall in love in 2007 ?







Nope, not even close!







21. How many one-night stands?







None, I've been a good girl this year... :-) (to a point)


... oops... actually scratch that! Two. (Naughty Toni!)




22. What was your favorite TV program?







Ghost Whisperer - I love the story lines, her clothes and the antique shop!







23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?







Again, I don't use the word hate... only Pitty. Again, you know who you are.







24. What was the best book you read?







The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger







25. What was your greatest musical discovery?



Mika :-)

26. What did you want and get?







My Camera.







27. What was your favorite film of this year?


Because I said so. - I loved it, because it reminds me so much like my family, except instead of the younger daughter, it is the middle one (i.e. me!) that is being thrown into the match maker scene by her mother. I'm just thankful that she hasn't done the internet profile on me (and if she has, I hope she's preying that I never find out about it!)




28. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?







I turnned 22 this year, and I spent it in bed with a very bad case of the Flu. :-(







29.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?







Finding myself that little bit more...







30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?







Unique, with a bit of lean towards vintage.







31. What kept you sane?







My Diary.... and Megan (Thanks Hun!)







32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?







Ooooooh Justin Timberlake (for some reason, I do find him oh so sexy! - I never thought of him that way before though, must be his new image and songs?)







33. What political issue stirred you the most?







The Terrorist one through out the country - get over it people! The police are doing their job by protecting us - BEFORE anything really bad happens!







34. Who did you miss?







Megan (and Mike occasionally, not as much cause I see him more) She's back in Wanganui, and so we're doing the keep in touch and visit thing. :-)







35. Who was the best new person you met?







Stephanie - You are a very unique person at that!







36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007 :




That no matter how much you plan for life and how you think it might turn out, still be open for the surprises, shocks, heartaches, enlightenments and enjoyments that life throws at you!
