Flopsey Baby
I got Flopsey when I was 13 for an early Christmas present. She has been my rock for all the good times and bad through those awkward teen years. I have so many stories about my lovely girl that I can not fit them all in here! I called her Flopsey as it looks as though she was originally a black cat that 'Flopped' into some milk -When she was a kitten the only way she ate her food was to lay spread out in the actual bowl and lap it up, hence I had to feed her with a very shallow bowl and give her occasional baths! (Like most cats she didn't appreciate it, but as she got older, she learnt how to clean herself properly!)Another reason for her name is that when she falls into a deep sleep, she shakes all over and becomes very floppy! (When she first did it, she freaked me out as I thought that she had died in my arms!) When I moved out of home, I had to make the hard choice to leave her on the farm, as that is the place where she is most happy.
(I live off a main road, and would be heart broken if she ever got hit) I really do miss her, but she is always ready to give me my cuddles whenever I show up, mum says that sometimes she can go off for days at a time, but when I come up, it's as if she senses that I am there and will pop round within an hour of me showing up!
There is still heaps of life left in my girl, and although I miss her I couldn’t take the farm away from her. She deserves some fun and the love and support that she has given me through my times of need is well worth the times of
Missing her now.
Missing her now.
