Easter 2006
This year I went with my friends on a road trip to Wanganui. (In the North Island of New Zealand for those non Kiwi's out there) We left on the Friday, which also happened to be Aj's Birthday... She got a lovely present from Mike, huging her - after he had run over her foot!
Although it had come off as a rocky start, The weekend when off with a bang! We got down there approx 1930 that friday night, had a few drinks then went to bed. I ended up waking up in the morning freezing! So, off we went for a day of shopping and exploring...
Later we went to a caravan expo - weird I know- but AJ and I went up in a Squirrel! for those of you that don't know what that might be... It something that flies and has blades! (chopper)
As you might imagine, it was soo fun and sooo Kool!!!
Well for the first time up in the air I don't think I did too bad, not too bad at all.
Afterwards, we went for a drive on the beach... we each had a go, AJ found out the hard way how not to drive on sand i.e. no sharp turns! (Lets just say that we were all lucky that the truck stood upwards, and the tread marks left came up past my ancles...)
For a first time in Wanaganui, and the furthest I've gone down south, it was a very good week end. :)
